The Perrin Driveshaft Lockdown Kit is designed to address a common issue found in Subaru WRX and WRX STI models from 2008 to 2026 and 2008 to 2021 respectively. The OEM driveshaft carrier relies on soft rubber bushings that degrade over time, allowing unwanted driveshaft movement during hard acceleration. This movement can lead to instability, wheel hop, and reduced traction. The Perrin Driveshaft Lockdown Kit replaces these soft bushings with a rigid aluminum solution that firmly secures the driveshaft, maintaining proper alignment and improving drivetrain response.
